Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Aqua Aerobics: A non-impact aerobics class performed to music in our heated pool. All levels suitable.
Body Basics: Strength training that builds strong bones and muscles, decreases body fat percentage, reduces risk of injury from falls and helps to maintain a fitness level for everyday tasks.
Flamenco Dance The Spanish dance simplified for a low impact, fun, rhythmic, fitness class.
Gentle Yoga Stretch with Dex: 30 minutes combining yoga movements, Pilates and fitness to build good posture; stretch & tone the abdominals, hips, arms, legs and core. Many of the activities are done while seated in a chair. Fun and effective, practical and gentle! Instructor: Dex Graham
Golden Yoga: Designed for seniors. This is a soft approach to flexibility using yoga-based poses and salutations.
Latin Grooves: Salsa dance party workout!
Pilates Essentials: A blend of yoga, pilates and fitness that increases your core strength and flexibility. Physio-ball training included.
Low-N-Sculpt: Get the best of both worlds, in this Low Impact aerobic class by combining 30 minutes of cardio followed with 30 minutes of resistance exercises using hand held weights and rubberized tubing.
Low-N-Sculpt on the Ball: This fun and challenging class incorporates all components of fitness, cardio/low impact, resistance training, balance and flexibility providing participants with the ultimate Total Body Workout experience!
Senior Fitness: Low impact class designed to improve strength, balance and mobility.
SilverSneakers lŪ: Muscular Strength & Range of Movement. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SPINNINGŪ: Indoor cycling training combining basic cycling movements, breathing techniques and cardiovascular training. Be sure to pick up your "Ticket To Ride" at the P.E. Courtesy Desk prior to class.
SPINNINGŪ 101: Group cycle class geared to the new rider that will bring out your personal best workout no matter what level you desire. It's like having your own personal coach with the fun of a group setting . Bring towel and water.
Qigong Chan Meditation / Exercise for Longevity: Class combines Tai-Chi & Qi-Gong in a quiet setting.
Yoga: Based on a form of movement promoting balance, strength and flexibility.
Zen Yoga Blend: Mindful moves (yoga, Pilates, Tai-chi and breath work) to perk up your morning.
