The “Days of Memory” series premieres with “Yom HaShoah: Honoring Jewish Resilience and Storytelling,” part of the launch of JFest, on Wednesday, April 7, at 5 PM (PDT). Jews are a “Remembering People.” Join us on the eve of Yom HaShoah as four international artist-educators engage in a powerful conversation about our past and our future, paying tribute, preserving cultural memory, and building resilience.

On Tuesday, April 13,at 5 p.m. (PDT) join us on VirtualJCC.com for “Yom HaZikaron: The Power of Jewish Peoplehood Through Personal and Collective Mourning.” We’ll be listening to an intimate conversation about loss and the healing power of personal and collective mourning as shared by Israelis who know the heartache and anguish from their own experiences. Solomon Shapiro, a lone soldier in the IDF originally from New York, will be facilitating a conversation with three bereaved families who will share the pain of loss along with the sense of community they encounter—not only on this day, but everyday—that allows them to move forward

Join us for the concluding Days Of Memory free event, “Yom HaAtzmaut: Moments of Pride Through Israeli Innovation,” on Wednesday, April 14, at 5 PM (PDT). Seventy-three years after its founding, Israel is full of innovative social entrepreneurs. On Israeli Independence Day, we’ll meet three of these entrepreneurs whose work has advanced innovations in cybersecurity, agriculture, and emergency healthcare. Each one will be interviewed by a renowned Israeli author from their own company’s headquarters.
