It’s time to turn our attention from the holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, to the festive and joyous celebration of Sukkot, the time in which we give thanks to G-D for the many blessings we each have in our lives.
During this time of year, many of us have Sukkahs in our homes and/ or community centers. Tradition tells us that it is a mitzvah to decorate the sukkah.
Please join us to make Sukkot jar lamps! Learn about Sukkot and hear a special Sukkot Story.
The materials you will need:
- A clean jar (it can be any size you would like)
- Any light-colored tissue paper
- Mod podge
- 1 or 2 small foam paint brushes
- Paper or real leaves
- Tea lights
We are excited to celebrate Sukkot with you!
