Beginning Monday, November 16, 2020, through Wednesday, November 18, 2020 | 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
The Alpert Jewish Community Center in collaboration with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is announcing their upcoming coat drive in sponsorship with One Warm Coat. One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit that works to create awareness of the vital need for warm coats across the country and in our own local community.
As we approach the colder months we are reminded that there are many people in our community who have either been adversely affected by the onset of Covid-19 or may be homeless. Many children and adults alike will be anticipating the arrival of cooler weather without the necessary items to keep them warm.
We hope to ease their burden by holding a coat and sock drive on Monday, November 16, 2020, daily through Wednesday, November 18, 2020, 8:00 am-6:00 pm. We will be supplying bins to put your gently used coats, new coats, and new pairs of socks. The bins will be located at the Health Screening area in the parking lot of the AJCC.
Thank you in advance for participating in this worthwhile event!
