Happy Purim! Today we celebrate the bravery of Queen Esther, Queen Vashti and Mordechai as the Jews of Shushan were saved from the wrath of Haman, booo! Purim traditions include wearing costumes, to symbolize how the Jewish people disguised themselves; and reenacting the Megillah through theatrical spiels. The word Purim translates to “lots,” referring to the lots that Haman (booo!) drew to determine when he would enact his evil plan (13 Adar).
