Class Descriptions

The types of Martial Arts Styles that Sensei Mac teaches include:

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a combination of styles and philosophies about defending yourself. Each style emphasizes using different body parts as weapons for battle. But each Art also relies heavily on the main weapon, the brain, to decide which weapon is needed, when, where, and how. Blending these many disciplines smoothly with the right speed, power, and effectiveness is the ultimate challenge that awaits any future and current Martial Artist.

A heavy dose of powerful leg kicks along with punches, elbows, and knees.

Jiu-Jitsu is an elevated and street-lethal way of wrestling. What separates the two is that Jiu-Jitsu is street-ready. It is debatably the single most effective way to subdue your opponent by striking or kicking them. The emphasis is on ground fighting positions and finishes with techniques like chokes, locks, bars, and slices

Multiple throws and flips are emphasized with gi and no gi to get a takedown and finish the fight.

Cardio Kickboxing is rhythmic Martial Arts moves mixed with some cardio exercises, blended with high energy moves to music, that will teach you technique, but mostly test your physical fitness level.

Cardio Kickboxing is rhythmic Martial Arts moves mixed with some cardio exercises, blended with high energy moves to music, that will teach you technique, but mostly test your physical fitness level.

This is when you put all of your techniques together in a smooth and flowing motion. It is the closest simulation to a real situation without actually fighting. This activity is closely supervised to maximize a students’ Martial Arts growth and to prevent injury.

Our youth class lets students test their limits by putting together combinations and sparring with other students and the instructor. Kids will also learn some ground fighting techniques.
