Make the J a part of your Chanukah celebration! Families will have a miraculous time celebrating the Festival of Lights at our FREE Community Chanukah Party on November 30 at 5:30 PM. Adults are invited to to celebrate the “9th Night” of Chanukah with craft beer, kosher eats, and live music on December 9 at 7 PM at the Long Beach Beer Lab.

The Zena and Pauline Gatov Gallery at the Alpert JCC is proud to present Drawn to Nature: Watercolor Portraits from Our Natural World by Anne Kupillas from November 1 – 24, 2021.

The goal of the J Family program is to provide resources and programs for our families to enhance our Jewish community, customs, and experiences both in the home and community.  We want to empower all our families to celebrate and enjoy the customs and cultures of our beautiful Jewish Tradition.  This program is designed to give your family the tools and resources to do that.   We hope you will join in on the Fun!

The J Family Program is made possible through a generous grant from Jewish Long Beach.

The Alpert Jewish Community Center is a Jewish neighborhood and gathering place that is the heart of Jewish learning and activities, designed to improve its members’ lives in conjunction with their family, synagogue, local organizations, and the general community. We are committed to respecting and celebrating the diversity of the Jewish people and to reflect that richness in our programs.

During an era of social distancing, we are committed to bringing you programs that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home. All of the Jewish Life and Culture programs have gone virtual in an effort to keep our community safe while keeping us connected.
