VISIT THE J
Come get to know us and become part of our community
In good times and in challenging times, we are inspired to bring together the shared passion, creativity, and dedication of our staff and leadership to continue serving and engaging you, our members, our children, our families, and our seniors, in “new” ways.
None of us ever imagined that we would still be facing the challenges associated with the pandemic months after we first learned of it. However, here we are, and as leaders in the community, we want to make sure we continue to engage you in the way you feel most comfortable with.
Virtual or In-Person. Take a look at what programs are offered virtually and which programs we’ve brought back in-person. Whichever you are part of, virtual or in-person, we want you to ENJOY THE J, YOUR WAY!
We want our members to continue to achieve their health goals at the J! Thus, we’ve made achieving them more accessible than ever before! Join a group fitness class virtually or in-person.
We have one of the most beautiful pools in all of Long Beach…well, at least that’s what we’ve heard! Our Jr. size Olympic pool is the perfect place to cool down while getting a workout in. We are also excited to announce Family Pool Time now open on the weekend!
JEWISH LIFE AND CULTURE
The role of the Alpert JCC has always been a place where people can gather – where people welcome and take care of one another. Through these difficult times, where physical distancing is how we take care of one another, we are committed to continuing our Jewish Life & Culture programming virtually to keep us all connected in spite of these unique circumstances. That continues to be our mission and we are working hard to keep this promise! Every month we host different classes, discussions, trivia nights, and lots more!
As a nonprofit, we couldn’t continue to serve the community without the generous support of our members. Any amount given to us, we give right back to you in the form of our programs and services, from our free events to our Senior Adult Lunch Delivery Program. We couldn’t do it without you. How can you make an impact in-person? Volunteer! We work with you to determine where you best can apply your experience, learn new skills and address important local needs. We are always looking for volunteers to help with our Senior Adult Lunch Delivery Program or by becoming a J Ambassador.
The J is open to all people regardless of race or religion.
You may authorize a checking account withdrawal or credit card or debit card charge of equal installments monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly commencing on your join date or in the month of your renewal.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany the minor during their fitness orientation.
We have a membership plan for everyone! The J’s Membership Department has developed membership plans for Single Parents, Families, Full-Time College Students, seniors and more! For more information, call (562) 426-7601.
